Aims & Scope
Jurnal Mekanikal is a refereed international journal established in 1996 by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Since then, it has become a flagship journal with a publication frequency of twice a year, in June and December. The journal aims to provide a platform for publishing articles in Mechanical Engineering and all its related areas. It is a publication devoted to the dissemination of research findings and applications in all aspects of Mechanical Engineering.
The scope of the journal is closely aligned with the various academic degree programs offered at the Faculty. Hence, the scope of the journal is broad as it encourages multi-disciplinary research. The topics covered by the journal include, but are not limited to:

TYPES OF CONTRIBUTION
Original research papers, technical papers, literature review papers, conceptual papers and case study papers on the development, advancement and application of theories, algorithms, models, techniques, methods, concepts, frameworks, etc. are welcome. Articles should be between 5,000 and 10,000 words in length. This includes all text, abstract, references, tables, figures and appendices.
