Abstract

A programme was initiated to investigate the control and stability margin of the MD3-l60
aircraft with a view to possibly expand the center of gravity envelope which is currently
restrictive. Non-standard modifications were carried out to install the instruments to measure
elevator position. trim lab position, stick-forces and greading. Flight test were carried on
aircraft S/N 008 which belongs to the Royal Malaysian Air Force. The test flights were conducted
to establish control and stability margins within the current center of gravity envelope.
